First panel discussion for interdisciplinary research

‘Role of Big Data: Determines of Non-communicable Diseases in the Ageing Era’ was a project supported by the Worldwide University Network (WUN). The project brought together professionals from various disciplines to develop a global collaborative platform using digital technology for healthcare. The aim was to foster interdisciplinary research and address the growing applications of digital health.
The two-day public research symposium featured internal discussions on the definitions of big data and digital health, as well as presentations from the multi-disciplinary team and the local researchers in Sydney to address the challenges of interdisciplinary research. Participants presented their universities and individual research projects.

A 4-day International Symposium on Digital Health was held with a one-day workshop included, in order to promote interdisciplinary research on Digital Health by bringing experts from both healthcare and engineering sectors together to share their innovations on different aspects of the field, including eHealth, mHealth and other emerging areas such as big data and artificial intelligence.
Formation of Society

The International Society for Digital Health initiated its formation after the symposium in 2019, the forming of ISDH is to assemble engineering and healthcare professionals in terms of an interdisciplinary network that offers a vision to improve population health through the application of Artificial Intelligence.
The ISDH Webinar: Digital Health and COVID-19

COVID-19 or post-COVID-19 era have been a very intriguing topic in the 2020, ISDH bore the brunt of inviting Inter-professionals to share their latest digital health initiatives during and after the pandemic in the ISDH Webinar, this perfectly paired up with the ambition of prompting the interdisciplinary research opportunities and bringing experts from both Healthcare and Engineering sectors jointly together.

ISDH at BMJ International Forum
ISDH held two sessions at BMJ International Forum Hong Kong 2024 on 27 and 28 August, during the sessions, our Committee Members shared the topics, "The Expanding Influence of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Decision-Making" and "Can we trust the AI Chatbots (e.g. ChatGPT)?" After the sharing sessions, Committee Members had a panel discussion centered around the topic of AI application. The research based discussion enriched the participants irrespective of the divergent backgrounds of the speakers.
The International Society for Digital Health congregated its Committee Members on 29 August for a meaningful sharing session at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the topic was "Digital Health: An Opportunity for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare," and their research findings were shared, engagement with the attendees has been successfully demonstrated.
